Right click test
Right-click inside the box: you'll see straight away whether your right mouse button works. Keep clicking to measure your right-click speed and put it on the leaderboard.
The menu that normally opens on right-click is switched off inside the box.

Check if your right mouse button works
Right-click inside the box. If the button works, the message “Right click detected” appears. If you accidentally use the left button, the test tells you, so you always know which button the computer received.
Nothing happens at all? Try another USB port, replace the batteries of a wireless mouse, and check that your operating system hasn't swapped the primary and secondary buttons (a common setting for left-handed users).
Measure your right-click speed
The first right click also starts the clock. Click as fast as you can until the time runs out; your clicks per second appear live. In some games, the right button is used for aiming, blocking or placing blocks, so a fast and reliable right click really matters.
The usual right-click menu is switched off inside the box only, so it doesn't pop up while you test. Everywhere else on the page your right button works normally.
Spotting a failing button
Worn mouse switches often fail in two ways: some clicks don't register, or one click is sent twice (double-clicking). If your count is clearly lower than the clicks you made, or one click suddenly counts as two, the switch is wearing out.
Tips for faster right-clicking
Most people right-click with the middle finger, which is usually weaker than the index finger. Rest your hand on the mouse, keep the finger relaxed just above the button and let it bounce rather than pressing hard. Short tests of 5 or 10 seconds show your top speed; 30 seconds shows how quickly the finger tires.
Compare your right-click score with the CPS test for the left button: a big gap between the two is normal, and practising the weaker finger is the quickest way to improve in games that use both buttons.
Questions & answers
Why doesn't the right-click menu open?
It's switched off inside the test box so it doesn't get in the way. Outside the box it works as usual.
Can I test on a laptop touchpad?
Yes. A two-finger tap or a press on the bottom-right corner sends a right click on most touchpads.
Does it work on phones?
No. Phones don't have a right mouse button; a long press is not the same thing.
My right click counts twice. What does that mean?
That's usually a worn switch (double-clicking). Cleaning sometimes helps, but often the switch or mouse needs replacing.
